Une tentative de fusionner la calligraphie et les arts textiles

Stage pour calligraphes déjà initiés, maîtrise des outils, couleurs et de vos alphabets préférés. Marina s’exprimera en anglais, espagnol ou italien. Un traducteur pour le français sera présent.
Vous devrez apporter quelques tissus à motifs de votre choix, ou bien des photocopies/impressions couleur de ceux-ci. Choisissez un tissu ayant une signification particulière pour vous. Il peut avoir appartenu à votre famille, avoir été réalisé par votre grand-mère ou vous avoir été transmis comme un héritage familial. Il peut également être lié à votre culture ou à vos origines ethniques. Les textiles de ce type possèdent une valeur supplémentaire : ils sont porteurs de leur propre histoire, ce qui les rend plus riches et plus significatifs.
Avec les couleurs, motifs et dessins, nous créerons des compositions calligraphiques. D’autre part, je vous guiderai dans la création d’alphabets originaux et uniques inspirés de ces textiles. Recherches et expérimentations au rendez-vous.

The artist : Marina Soria (born 1961 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an internationally recognized experimental calligrapher, book artist, and educator.

Workshop for intermediate and advanced calligraphers. Participants should be proficient in the use of writing tools and in their preferred calligraphic alphabet. Marina will teach in English, Spanish, or Italian. French interpretation will be available throughout the workshop.
You will need to bring some fabrics or textiles of your choice, or color photocopies/printings of them. If possible, try to choose a textile or fabric that has a special meaning for you. It may have belonged to your family, been made by your grandmother, or passed down as part of your family legacy. It may also be connected to your cultural or ethnic background. Textiles like these carry an added value: they come with their own stories, which make them richer and more meaningful.
Through colors, motifs and designs we will create calligraphic compositions
On the other hand, I will guide you to create original and unique alphabets inspired by these textiles. Research and experimentation are at the heart of the workshop.
